There once was a man from...

There once was a man from Ward's Good with neither daggers nor swords But with catering equipment He had skill by the shipment He just couldn't ryhme worth a damn! There once was a man from York Who enjoyed the taste of pork He sold pots and pans And ovens with fans And on the phone he would talk and talk There once was a team of salesmen Who were also a bunch of old Dalesmen? They sold knives and forks In the North of Yorks And there's nothing that ryhmes with Salesmen or Dalesmen! This marks a new low for this blog It should be flushed down the bog We're here to discuss Equipment, not fuss about ryhming and meter and scan... enough? Well that was very silly indeed and I feel much better for it. The world of catering equipment and refrigeration supply, installation and repair has been blown wide open!!! Well actually it hasn't, but a couple of big players in the industry have gone out of business recently and we have heard of some others who are apparently struggling. We feel nothing but sympathy for anyone who has been put out of work and, speaking as a former redundancy receiver, I know how it can be a struggle to get back into work after being laid off. Of course I was lucky enough to work for a company stupid enough to offer 3 times the minimum redundancy pay-outs and therefore enjoyed a nice sailing holiday and a week in the Lakes as well as some other stuff before being offered a temporary and then less temporary position here at Wardingtons. We here at Wardingtumbles have noticed that business has slowed very slightly, however we are still busy and still doing big jobs as well as selling one off pieces. The credit crunch will hopefully not last too much longer and, until then, we shall batten down the hatches and weather the storm in our own inimitable way. Good luck to everyone during these trying times.
